With all of the influence that is placed on beauty in today’s society, the need for bettering one’s appearance is something that very important to many women. From the makeup that we wear, to cosmetic surgery procedures, there are many different ways for women to look any way that they choose. Lots of times, women decide to get plastic surgery to remove any traces of aging from their faces to appear as beautiful as they once did years ago. Often times, the line of discretion is crossed by the use of too much plastic surgery at one particular time.

The body can only take so much stress, and you should keep that in mind when deciding which procedures to get together at once. It is best to just try to keep these surgical procedures at a minimum, since you want to the effects to be subtle when they are noticed by others. Keeping your procedures to a minimum at once can remove the chance of being unhappy with the outcome of your surgical procedures. It may be somewhat tempting to get all of the procedures done at once, to minimize the healing time. But in reality, you may be giving too much work for your body to heal properly from each of the procedures that you are having done. It is a good idea to keep it simple when it comes to your face.

You can explore more about plastic surgery at www.cosmeticsurgeon.co.uk where you will be able to discuss indepth the aspects of your motivation to have surgery directly with a plastic surgeon.

A lot of women in the world today are too eager to get every type of cosmetic surgery available, due to their low self esteems. Too many times, women are too quick not to accept themselves are they already are. The choice to get plastic surgery or to simply age gracefully is one that ultimately has to be decided upon by only oneself.

Ethiopia is a poor country that is stricken with disease and famine. One of the diseases that is really impacting the country is called Noma. This disease leads to severe facial deformations. Noma is a flesh eating disease that in the later stages leaves holes in the face. This disease acts similar to gangrene by rotting the flesh. This disease has been around for a long time and the only treatment for it, is plastic surgery and antibiotics. The mortality rate for peopel infected with Noma is 90%. Those that do survive are left without being able to talk or eat. Since people in Ethiopia live below the poverty level, it is extremely hard for the infected people to get help. There are many young children with this disease that cannot afford to get the treatment necessary. It is estimated that ten percent of children living in Ethiopia will die before their first birthday.

A group of plastic surgeons out of Yorkshire decided to start helping the country by performing reconstructive surgery on people with Noma. This team was led by Mr. Le Roux Fourie, who normally performs cosmetic surgery in Leeds. He is now donating time to help poverty stricken people. They have been staying and operating for 10 days at a time. In the first trip, the team of surgeons provided 44 people with surgeries.

The plastic surgeons stated that many of the patients required two separate surgeries. The first surgery would be to remove the diseased skin and teeth. The second surgery would be to reconstruct the face the best they could. The surgeons were planning more trips, other teams of surgeons were also planning to help the people. With more help, in the future more people in this country could get the help they need to stay alive.

Laser technology has revolutionised modern medicine, and is frequently used in surgery of all kinds. However, it is also used for cosmetic reasons with increasing popularity. Two of the most common cosmetic laser treatments are tattoo removal and laser hair removal. Here is a bit of information on both.

Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal can be done manually, but it is much safer and more predictable when done using lasers. It works because the laser breaks down the ink which is then absorbed into the body, mimicking the natural fading that time or sun exposure would create. However, it is more complicated than this because all colours have different light absorption spectra, so the tattoo removal laser has to be powerful enough to work on all of them. Yellow and green are particularly challenging colours to remove.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is particularly popular with women, but is equally effective on men. Laser hair removal works by targeting the dark pigments in the hair, which absorbs the light and destroys the hair. For this reason it is most effective on people with light skin and dark, coarse hair. It is less effective on blonde hair, and on dark skin it is more likely that the skin will be damaged too. Laser hair removal has been found to be much faster and less painful than electrolysis, its closest rival.

Side Effects of Lasers

Though the actual treatments using lasers are very different, the side effects are often the same. Because the laser has contact with the skin, it can cause burns and changes in the colour of the skin. However, burning is generally the most serious potential side effect. Some people worry that laser treatment can cause more serious problems such as cancer and infertility, but there is no evidence to link them.

Considering Eyebag Removal Cosmetic Surgery? As part of the aging process, some individuals tend to fear the dreaded threat of unsightly bags under the eyes. It’s a fact that skin loses its elasticity as we age. While there are various creams, lotions and injections (think Botox) to help with this concern, it’s not always enough.

These days there is an alternative to severe cases of skin bagging under the eyes. Yes, modern advances in technology have given us a way to address the problem and hope for a permanent solution. Let’s look at the procedures for this type of cosmetic eyebag removal surgery which is usually done before you resort to the more drastic facelift.

Eye bag surgery – or eyelid surgery in some cases – has its areas of risks and concerns. This of course is the case with any surgery, as no procedure guarantees a risk free investment.

Sometimes known as blepharochalasis, this condition can occur from several factors, mostly due to age or pre-existing medical conditions. If you feel you would be a good candidate for this procedure, make an appointment with a specialist in this field. A consultation will help you decide if this is the way to go. There are different options and techniques for the surgery as well. Newer techniques might involve laser surgery which some feel is less invasive.

You can have all of your four eyelids corrected, or simply the lower or upper ones. Multiple layers of skin might be removed, as well as fat tissue. This will be determined by your doctor.

Take into consideration this can be an expensive operation. In most cases, your insurance provider will not cover the expense, as this is considered to be for cosmetic purposes. If you feel the cost is not a problem, this is one less issue to be addressed.

In conclusion, make the decision to have eye bag removal surgery carefully, weighing the benefits over the risks. if you feel it is right for you, there are many specialists who have unique training in this practice whom you may wish to contact.

A facelift (rhytidectomy) is a serious surgical procedure that can be beneficial in lessening wrinkles, developing a more youthful look, improving confidence and reversing the displeasing affects of stress, wind, sunlight and time. Face lift surgeries are expensive; there’s no way around that. They are elective surgeries and they carry measurable price tags. It’s just good to understand that up front.

Facts about face lifts:

• They are not for everyone. Ideal candidates for rhytidectomies have skin that is still basically supple. They are also at least in relatively good physical shape. Additionally, less invasive procedures including MACS (minimal access cranial suspension) facelifts, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and more should be contemplated before going full ahead with a traditional face lift surgery. There are even less invasive procedures, such as the mini face life. Prospective patients should also give attentive consideration to other procedures that embellish the positive effects of a face lift as well as brow and/or neck lifts.
• As a rough national average, full face lift surgeries cost about $6,000 per, and that does not include any testing, anesthesiology or prescriptions that are necessary. Be sure that you understand all of the applicable costs connected with your rhytidectomy up front.
• Although face lift surgeries are entirely successful and pose no difficulties usually, there are still risks involved including:
◦ Nerve damage;
◦ Unsightly scarring;
◦ Swelling;
◦ Bruising;
◦ Bleeding;
◦ Pain;

Elements of the face lift surgery procedure:

• Reviewing medical history;
• Any necessary testing;
• Determining the locations of the incisions;
• Administration of anesthesia;
• Performing the operation;
• Intelligent, non-rushed healing;

Individuals who smoke are cautioned to stop smoking as far before the face lift surgery as possible. Patients are also advised to remember that the full affects of a rhytidectomy will not be seen immediately. Incisions and sutures into the deep muscle tissues take time to harmonize and heal completely. The skin and muscles will continue to tighten and stretch throughout the healing process. Sometimes it is possible for the cosmetic surgeon to perform a mini facelift which is a less invasibe procedure as a full face lift and is usually suitable for people in their mid thirties and fourties.
